This week, the walls were painted, the fridge made its way home, and new cabinets have completely taken over.

Next week, the cabinets will be installed and the countertop template can be made. So, roughly, two more weeks of living without a kitchen. Pretty exciting!
Before seeing this picture of the cabinets, I hadn't noticed that smoke has discolored the paint on the fireplace. We've only had half a dozen or so fires, and have been diligent about heating the flue first. I'm impressed (in a disappointing way) by how much smoke has still come into the house!
